Featuring the extraordinary talents of

After the success of last year’s concert… Victorian Jazz Singer Meg Corson is back at Crisp Galleries to delight you yet again with an afternoon of Jazz.

The five musicians have been colleagues since their days at the ANU Jazz School and bring together what is undoubtedly a passionate display of a love for the original traditions of popular jazz, complimented by seasoned musicianship!

Meg is a passionate chanteuse and storyteller.  Her repertoire is undoubtedly jazz but her diverse experience allows her to let the mood guide where her songs go (and she has a band that will follow)!

The afternoon will present popular jazz classics made famous by Billy Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin (her first album was jazz!) as well as some more modern tunes given a different treatment.

Her long awaited solo album isn’t quite finished  yet so won’t be available for purchase this time… but you may be treated to some ‘teaser performances’ of a couple of tunes from the Album!

Throughout her career Meg has fronted jazz bands, big bands and orchestras.

Performed with and supported many wonderful artists; James Morrison, Don Burrows, Abdullah Ibrahim, Marcia Hines and Guy Sebastian to name a few.

And was a founding member of the internationally renowned a cappella group ‘The Idea of North’.

The gift of a beautiful voice is a great thing, but when complimented with the ability to communicate the heart and soul of a song you have a musical experience that is set apart from the rest.

Let yourself be seduced by the velvety smooth voice and soulful styling’s of Meg Corson.
